Be strong and build yourself to face the challenges life throws at you

This time did a training hike around Patapsco river. It was around 7.5 miles and got lost a few times in the trails but it was nice to get lost. Here are some pictures from the hike.

Around the 3rd mile snow started and it was beautiful to hike in the snow with brooks, creeks and streams all around

Almost lost the charge on the phone this time and there were people who were doing trail running and being active. Felt so energetic being on the trail. Also felt the enormity of this world we live in. If we hadn’t moved past foot, as a mode of transportation it would have been a struggle every day. We forget how the roads have made our lives easier and sometimes (most times) forget the beautiful nature around us. This 7.5 mile trail took 3 hours, in a car would have travelled 180 miles or on plane much more. Even a bicycle would have covered more distance in this time. Hard to imagine humanity progressing without the transportation technology. This also brings up another point, is this progress better? Wouldn’t it be simpler to walk through the woods and enjoy the nature and the life around us, rather than working most of the life and missing out on the beauty in everything around us. The argument can go both ways and even I would argue both ways. But I loved having these thoughts and arguments within myself during these walks.
